Own This World is a massively multiplayer location dependent game for the iPhone and Windows Phone 7 where the real world map has been split into millions of territories that you compete for with players that are also physically in the same area. Your rank in the world climbs as you claim territories. If you have the most you are crowned the ruler of the World.
Own This World requires either a 3G network or wifi connection in order to track your location and connect to the database. Disruptions in cellular service may cause connectivity issues.
There are a few ways you can gain new territories. All require you to physically move into that territory with your phone. Once there, if the territory hasn't been visited by anyone else you will take it over when you have 1 troop. If it has, you can do two things: 1) Wait in that territory for your troop count to exceed theirs. You gain 1 troop for every 30 seconds you are in a territory. 2) You can attack the leader of that territory. In order to be the owner of a particular territory you need to have the most troops in that territory.
You load up a troop truck in the territory information screen in one location, move yourself to another location, and dropping them off. It's going to cost you some resources though.
When a new territory is taken over, it is randomly assigned one of 4 resources (gold, food, manpower and supplies). Each night you will receive an amount of resources based on the number of territories you own. If you are in an alliance, your resources are divided evenly between your alliance members.
